Job Description

Our client is a large, successful US technology and solutions company that employs 4,000 people worldwide. They have a growing product development centre in Limerick city centre and they are now seeking a Software Test Manager to join their Limerick team.

In this role you will be responsible for defining the test strategy and plan within the company, including driving the design and implementation of test automation. You will manage a team of testers, allocating assignments and tracking work. You will work with the product management team to understand requirements and with the development team to test products and isolate issues. You will represent the test team at planning and reporting meetings.

Skills

  • A degree in Computer Science or other similar relevant technical discipline
  • At least 4 years of experience managing test teams
  • At least 8 years of experience in software testing, including automated testing
  • Strong experience in test automation, including building and maintaining automated test frameworks
  • A thorough understanding of test principles and methodologies
  • Experience with Linux
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to lead and mentor team members
  • Fluent written and spoken English

It would be an added advantage to candidates to also have experience in the following:

  • Networking, including switching, routing, DNS and DHCP
  • An understanding of and experience with configuring virtualisation systems
  • Automation using Puppet, Jenkins, Selenium and scripting
  • Knowledge of video, audio and USB technologies
